High Line Supports Local Food Bank and Other Charities

High Line Holiday Food Drive Delivers Thousands of Pounds of Food to Local Food Bank

High Line Corporation continued its tradition of giving this holiday season.

Employees teamed up to donate nearly 4,000 pounds of food to the Markham Food Bank, serving High Line’s headquarters city, Markham, Ont.

“We thank High Line for the generous donation,” said Bob Ysseldyk of Markham Food Bank. “Donations like this enable us to serve people who are in need. Nobody should go hungry, especially during the holidays.”

In addition, High Line, as in the past, is matching the weight of the collected food with a dollar contribution to a number of charities. This year, one of our chosen charities is Kiva, a micro loan site that supports entrepreneurs in developing countries.

“It was great to see our team members so involved in our Christmas food drive.  Employees split into four teams, and had a lot of spirited fun competing to see which team would donate the most food,” High Line President Megan Rogister said. “Next year we will challenge other local software companies to support this very important service in our community.”
